Ingredients
- 2 large onions, sliced into 1/2-inch rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup milk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the batter is smooth.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Dip the onion rings in the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Carefully place the battered onion rings into the hot oil, a few at a time.
